So for this, you'll be using the pythagorean theorem to solve for the height.

9^2+b^2=16^2

Solve the exponents to get
81+b^2=256

Subtract 81 on each side to get
b^2=175

Square root each side, and your answer should be
b= √(175) or 13.23 ft
