I am most certainly positive that the correct answer is... familiar and commonly used in many stories.

(this answer choice is not shown in the question above, but it was on the pf exam that I took)

I originally marked that choice as my answer, but then changed it to D. (typically one-dimensional with a dominant quality) and I got it wrong!!

I am warning you now! D is NOT the correct answer!!!

This type of character is stereotypical and archetypal (the base or concept for developing characters), distinguished by one quality. For example, stock characters are miser, folly etc.
