Hello!
All we need to get the equation besides the slope is the y-intercept. To find it we can plug in the ordered pair and the slope into slope intercept form and solve for b.
-8=-3(-1)+b
-8=3+b
-11=b
Now we can put this y-intercept into our equation.
y=-3x-11
