The Thylakoid membrane of the chloroplast bears the enzymes and pigments required for photophosphorylation.
This membrane is formed of interconnected membranes, that carry out the light reactions of photosynthesis. In the thylakoid membrane occurs the convertion of solar energy to the chemical energy of ATP and NADPH and releasing oxygen in the process.
