5 = - 2x - y
To find this you must find the slope first:

(y - y1)/(x - x1)
which is, after performing some calculating is -2.

Next you need to set up your eqaution:

y - y1 = m(x - x1)
when you set it up, and substitute the variables for your slope and points you should get this:

y - ( - 3) = - 2(x - 1)

y + 3 = - 2x - 2
add 2 to both sides

y + 5 = - 2x
subtract y from both sides

5 = - 2x - y
