Isolate the n.

Do the opposite of PEMDAS.

First subtract 4 from both sides

3n + 4 = 7

3n + 4 (-4) = 7 (-4)

3n = 7 - 4

3n = 3

Then divide 3 from both sides

3n/3 = 3/3

n = 3/3

n = 1

n = 1 is your answer

hope this helps
