How would you simplify this -5x+2x+7y-3x

You can combine numbers if they have the same terms

-5x+ 2x +7y -3x

You can see that -5 , 2 , -3 is integer numbers and have same terms are x so combine them

-5x+ 2x -3x = -3x -3x = -6x

Of course 7y is not same term with -6x , x and y is different so the answer is

-6x+7y or 7y-6x is same thing
