The British Navigation Acts contradicted the ideas in Wealth of Nations. The Navigation Acts were passed by the British Parliament and they prevented the colonies from selling their most valuable goods to any other country except Britain. This is inconsistent with Adam Smith’s ideas in the Wealth of Nations where he advocates for a free market
