Line 1 and 2 are parallel to each other, so the angles would be the same.

Set angle 1 and angle 2 equal to each other and solve:

8y-6 = 7y
Add 6 to both sides:
8y = 7y +6

Subtract 7y from both sides:

y = 6

Now replace Y in the equation for angle 2 and solve:

Angle 2 = 7y = 7(6) = 42 degrees
