Waterweed grows near the surface of the water in lakes and ponds. It Often grows in dense clumps. it has been observed that the chloroplasts in this plant mkve around inside the cell. How might this be an advantage and disadvantage to the plant?

An advantage of moving chloroplasts is that they are able to orient themselves optimally to take advantage of sunlight for photosynthesis, however the direction of sunlight. A disadvantage is that more energy is used to reorient the chloroplast hence its benefits can be counter-intuitive.
