A rhombus is a quadrilateral with sides that are equal in length. A parallelogram is a quadrilateral with two pairs of opposite parallel sides. The only quadrilaterals that are rhombuses are the rhombus (diamond) and the square. Both of these shapes have opposite sides that are parallel.
Therefore, a rhombus is always a parallelogram.
