I believe the answer is: Confirmation bias

Confirmation refers to the act of seeking/interpreting new information so it fit with our own narrative/point of view.
In order to seek confirmation bias, people tend to only socialize and seek information from the group that they knew for sure to have similar belief with them, such as biased news station or student groups.
