For the angle marked x, 5 ft is the opposite leg, and 27 ft is the adjacent leg.
The trig ratio that relates the opposite leg and the adjacent leg is the tangent.

\tan \theta = (opp)/(adj)

\tan x = (5~ft)/(27~ft)

x = \tan^(-1) (5)/(27)

x = 10.491477^\circ

Rounded to the nearest degree, the answer is 10 degrees.

Use inverse to solve this problem. Tan-1(5/27). =10.491 which rounded to the nearest degree equals 11.
