Hi there!


y + 3 = - 3(x + 5)
First we need to work out the parenthesis, which can for instance be done using rainbow technique.


y + 3 = - 3x - 15
Now subtract 3 from both sides.


y = - 3x - 18
And finally add 3x to both sides.


3x + y = - 18
The 4th answer choice is correct.
