2. Either your calculator or your knowledge of the factors of 144 should tell you
144/-8 = -18

3. Assuming you intend -3·(9·y), you multiply the constants to get the simplified coefficient of y: -27y

4. The n-th term is (n-1)², so the 10th term is 9² = 81
