Distinguish between depression and bipolar disorder. How are they similar? How are they different?

Depression and Bipolar disorder both include emotions/symptoms of deep sadness and emotional characteristics. They are different because depression is an illness and changes a person, while bipolar disorder has a person switching between two “personas” or “emotions”.
