Three-fourths of all unintentional deaths are the result of Motor vehicle accidents or crashes.
Risk or accidents are so great that most people sustain a serious unintentional injury at some time during their lives. Males at all ages have higher risk than females for unintentional injury death. Motor vehicle crashes are the leading overall cause of death for ages 5-34, also the leading cause of nonfatal unintentional injury. This involves; passengers, drivers pedestrians, motorcycle riders and bicycle riders.
