Stem cells are biological cells that can differentiate into other cells and replicate. A person with damage to the brain or spinal cord would be very interested in the advancement of this field because of research and clinical trials. If the cells could replicate healthy brain tissue it could repair a damaged brain. As for the spinal cord it could be used to protect nerve cells in the central nervous system, the kind damaged in a spinal cord injury.
