Equation of a line in Slope Intercept Form:
Y = MX + B

m represents = Slope, and b
y - intercept

Find M and B

Gradient Formula: m = y2 - y1/x2 - x1
(x1, y1), (x2, y2) two points on line.
two points are: (1, 3), and (3, 7)

Calculate:
(x1, y1) = (1, 3) and (x2, y2) = (3, 7)
m = 7 - 3/3 -1 = 4/2 = 2

Partial equation: y = 2x + b
Find b, substitute given points/partial equation

Use: (1, 3) x = 1,
y = 3

3 = (2)(1) + b
3 = 2 + b, b = 1

Answer : y = 2x + 1

Hope that helps!!!
