The features that best describes the appearance of vascular bundles of a non-woody monocot stem is that they are scattered throughout the stem. As the plant grows, liliopsid stems generate new vascular bundles for the new tissue. Liliopsid stems normally possess an easier arrangement than that found in dicots; the most components of the stem are simply the vascular bundles and also the pith (used for nutrient storage) that surrounds them.
