For this to happen, humans have to trust and rely on their interior, not the exterior. Happines should not come from external situations but due to internal peace and tranquility that is expressed throughout our conduct. As life is short and things happen that could represent a risk, stoicism invites to overcome sad moments and bad emotions.

The stoicism akin is similar to the philosophies of Plato, Aristotle and Epicurus as the four hold that a psyche has then 3 parts namely spirit, desire as ell as reason. Another would be they hold passions that are external and would require to gain control on them.
