By definition, the circumference of a circle is given by:

C = 2 * pi * r
Where.
r: radius of the circle
Substituting values:

25 (1)/(7) = 2 * (22/7) * r
From here, we clear r:

r = (7 * 25 (1)/(7)) / (2 * 22) r = 4 inches
Then, the area of the cake, is the area of a circle:

A = pi * r ^ 2
Substituting values:

A = (22/7) * 4 ^ 2 A = 50.3 inches ^ 2
Answer:
the area of the cake is:

A = 50.3 inches ^ 2
