What is the greatest number of two-letter arrangements that can be formed from the letters g, r, a, d, and e if each letter is used only once in the arrangement?

Assuming the ordering is important in the arrangement, for the first letter you have a choice of 5, then for the second letter only 4 are left.

The total number of arrangements is 5*4=20
