You can see that is an equation with the variable p
So we have to find the value of p
4p+2=3p+11
We add
4p+2+(-3p)=3p+11+(-3p)
So p+2=11
And p+2-2=11-2
Or p= 9

isolate the p
subtract 3p on both sides to get p + 2 = 11
subtract 2 on both sides to get p = 9
