Deoxyribonucleic acid or DNA is a biological macromolecule present in all cells as well as in many viruses. DNA contains all the genetic information of the cell called genome.

The steps on the ladder in the DNA represent the bases of each strand linked by hydrogen bonds (two between adenine and cytosine and three between cytosine and guanine).
