4b-1=-9\ \ \ |+1\\\\4b=-8\ \ \ |:4\\\\b=-2

Hey there! :)

If you switch it around, it becomes: -9 + 1 = 4b

-9 + 1 = -8

-8 = 4b
4 4

-8 ÷ 4 = -2
4b ÷ 4 = b

-2 = b
