Carnegie Hall was built in April 1891.
Zankel Hall, which seats 599, is named after Judy and Arthur Zankel. Originally it was named as Recital Hall. This was the first auditorium to open to the public in April 1891. It was further renovated in 1869 and after the renovations, it was renamed as Carnegie Lyceum Hall.
