The poet believes that humans have lost the etiquettes and values that animals seem to still carry. He believes that they don’t have any imperfections as humans do, and they don’t lie awake at night grueling and mourning their condition.
He believes that the tokens of love and happiness humans once had were lost in the way and that animals still seem to carry theirs. He says that he wishes he could turn and live with animals as they don’t have the complications and demands of society and human life.
