a. 12 dollars IP is a 50% increase on 24 dollars
b. poorly phrased question. ...% of 50 % increase or decrease? if increase is 50% of 36 dollars... that's 18 dollars to add on to the new 36dollar price.
18+ 36=54dollars
if it's a decrease it goes down by 18 to 18dollars
