So first thing ya gotta do is find the area of the circular plates, which the equation is
A= \pi r^2 .

To get the radius, just divide the diameter, 30, by half. So in this case the radius would be 15.

Now that ya know that 15 is the radius, you can plug it into the equation.

A= \pi 15^2

A=225 \pi (I would advise you don't round anything until the end to get more accurate answers.)

So now that you know the area of the plate, you're gonna just multiply the area by 1/3 for lasagna and 2/3 for the salad.

225 \pi ( (1)/(3) )=235.6

225 \pi ( (2)/(3) )=471.2

(also make sure to use cm^2 units!)
