it would be 7 in because if u subtract 8.5 from 10 it gives u 1.5 and if u subtract 1.5 two times it gives u 7
3h=1.5
6h=3
so after 6 hour the candle will be 7 in.

2 hours to 3 hours is 1 hour
10 inches - 8.5 inches = 1.5 inches

So every hour the candle will get shorter by 1.5 inches.

3 hours to 6 hours is 3 hours

1.5 x 3 = 4.5 inches

8.5 - 4.5 = 4 inches after 6 hours.
