To prepare a 2 M solution of the HBr titrant, you need 2 moles of HBr and 1 Liter of water. How much HBr will you weigh out on the scale and dissolve in the 1 liter of water to prepare the solution?

Molecular weight of HBr = 80.91 g/mol.

We know that, 1 mole of HBr = 80.91 g/mol
Therefore, 2 mole of HBr = 80.91 x 2
= 161.82 g.

Hence, 161.82 g of HBr should be dissolved in 1 liter solution, to obtain 2 M solution.
