Forty percent of all traffic-related fatalities involved drunk driving. The Road Safety Authority (RSA) analyzed police’s forensic car collision investigation files in order to determine the main causes or contributory factors in traffic-related fatalities. It was found that alcohol was a primary contributory factor in 2 out of 5 traffic-related accidents.
