Gamal Abdel Nasser

Gamal Nasser named himself Prime Minister of Egypt in 1954 and took over government after a series of complicated intrigues with Egypt's King Farouk. He then went on to labor diligently to develop Egypt economically and militarily and make it the fountainhead of pan-Arab nationalism
