An object is moving north at a constant speed. A force of 5 N begins to push the object easy at the same moment that a force of 5 N begins to push it west. What will happen to the object?

The object will continue moving north at the same constant speed.

The 5N to the easy and the 5N to the west form a balanced pair of forces.
Their sum is zero, and their effect on the object is the same as if those
two forces were not there at all.
