While driving, you see a school bus in the opposite lane dropping off students. there is no median. when is it ok to go?

It is not okay to go on either side of the road. Even if there are two lanes going each way, if there is a bus on the other side, you must stop in all lanes because there may be kids crossing, but usually they won’t have kids doing that, you still must stop.
