The type of government that Germany, Italy, and Japan have in the 1930s was totalitarian.

TOTALITARIAN/TOTALITARIANISM
is a government system that is characterized by a strong central rule and dictatorship. It also requires complete submission or subservience to the state. Beginning the World War II, totalitarian had become synonymous with absolute and oppressive one-party government. The most prominent otalitarian state was Germany which was under the rule of the infamous dictator Adolf Hitler.
