The answer is "biodegrading". Biodegrading is fungi, or fungus that breaks down fertilizers or chemical composition giving it energy. Theres also animals that break down composition or consume dead matter for example a vulture, they play a big role in the ecosystem by consuming dead matter and making the area cleaner for other organisms.
