Why did the tea act of the 1773 anger colonists?

They wanted to put a tax on the tea

it started to put taxes on the people and they didn't like the fact that things were being taxed. People who were acting as the middle man were going to be out of business because it begin to be more affordable for people and they wouldn't need them any more.
