The correct answers are B) lifestyle of the gentlemen planter. D) hot and humid climate. E) black slaves.

The three important factors that influenced Southern life were the following: the lifestyle of the gentlemen planter, hot and humid climate, and black slaves.

In a totally different circumstance that the people from the north of the United States, the southerners supported slavery because they depended so much on slaves to produce crops in the large southern plantations. Those crops needed the extra hands of black slaves to grow cash crops that were traded and exported to Europe, basically to England. The black slaves worked under extremely harsh conditions and hot humid weather.
