In light of Hitler’s "final solution", genocide can be defined as a plan to exterminate people of a certain race. This is because the "Final Solution," was based on a Nazi plan to exterminate the Jewish people. It was based on eventually annihilating European Jewry.

It refers to the culmination of a decade of Nazi policy, under the rule of Adolf Hitler where extermination of the Jews occurred during World War II. Historic study shows that the decision was not made overnight, it is something planned and made at one particular point in time.
