The major control enzymes of glycolysis are:

· Hexokinase – It converts glucose into glucose-6-phosphate by making use of one ATP, which is then converted to ADP.

· Phosphofructokinase – It converts fructose-6-phosphate into fructose- 1, 6-bisphosphate also by using one ATP, which is then converted to ADP.

· Pyruvate Kinase – It converts Phosphoenolpyruvate to pyruvate, at the same time converting ADP to ATP.
