Let x represent one of the numbers, then the other number is (1/5)x

Sum: x + (1/5)x = 1818
(5/5)x + (1/5)x = 1818
(6/5)x = 1818
6x = 9090
x = 1515

(1/5)x = (1/5)·1515 = 303

Answer: The two numbers are 303 and 1515
