Notebook is a rectangular,so
P= 2w+2l is a perimeter,
A=wl is an area.

P=38 in.
A=90 in.

2w+2l=38
wl = 90

w+l=19
wl=90

We can see that 9*10=90, and 9+10=19,
so dimensions of the notebook are
10 in. and 9 in.
