Puritanism had a lot of impact on the government and american values. It does not give kids any sort of say in the government like voting, or to be actual adults until they are 18. Also people still sort of view men more dominant then women because Puritans believed that because Eve was the first to take a bite out of the apple. Also the death penalty is still viewed as a legal punishment in some states for certain crimes.
