a) You have:
Tan(45°)=y/18
y=18 feet

b= You have that:
Tan(55°)=y/18
y=25.70 feet

c) Area of the garde=2(bh/2)

Area 1 when theta=45°

Area1=2(18x18/2)
Area1=324 feet^2

Area 2 when theta=55°

Area 2=2(25.70x18/2)
Area2=462.6 feet2
