Answer:

"Salutary Neglect" was a policy of the British government from the beginning to mid 18th century. The policy was regarding to the trading regulations of the British Colonies in North America. However these regulatiuons were not really implemented by British authorities, so they lost control of trading.

Nonetheless this situstion did not bother imperial authorities, as long as the colonies stay loyal to the British crown; and contributed to the economy of England.

"Salutary Neglect" indirectly contributed to the autonomy of colonial legal and legislative institutions; which led to the American independence.
