A backyard was measured with a degree of accuracy to the nearest 1m; 20m x 30m. What is the smallest possible are of the backyard to the nearest m^2?

that would  19.5 * 29.5 = 605 m^2  to nearest m^2

The smallest area will be the product of the two smallest measurements:
(19.5 m)*(29.5 m) = 575.25 m² ≈ 575 m²
