The conflict between North and South Korea draw in the superpowers becasue it resulted in a conflict

The Korean conflict quickly deteriorated into a proxy war pitting the two world super powers. The USA supported the democratic South Koreans against the invasion by North Korea The communist Soviet Union and China supported the North Korean regime which was also communist.

The Korean conflict quickly degenerated into a proxy war sucking up the two world super powers. The USA supported the south Koreans against the North Korean invasion while the soviet union and China supported the north Korean communist regime.
