Mr. jacobson, a tax accountant, comes to the clinic complaining of feeling very "stressed out" and anxious. he admits to drinking 10 to 12 cups of coffee daily. his doctor (knowing that caffeine alters the threshold of neurons) suggests he reduce his intake of coffee. what is caffeine's effect on the threshold of neurons, and how might this affect explain mr. jacobson's symptoms?

The caffeine's effect on the neurons threshold is that it would decrease the threshold and excitation then would occur. Threshold energy means the level of energy in where the physical as well as the chemical action would happen and that then explains Mr. Jacobsons symptoms.
